The 4th of July holiday is coming up next week! If you’re looking for ways to celebrate, as your Greater Scottsdale real estate agent, allow me to fill you in on where the fireworks and festivities will be taking place in Fountain Hills and Scottsdale in the coming week! Call up your friends and family and plan accordingly for summer’s most exciting holiday!
Fourth at the Fountain takes place every year for 4th of July in Fountain Hills! Head to Fountain Park from 6 to 10 p.m. Wednesday night for family-friendly fun. Festivities kick off at 6, including music, bounce houses for kids, and a rock climbing wall. DJ Steve Grosz will be playing tunes all evening for the family to sit and enjoy or to get up and dance to!
Admission is free of and people are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets, etc. to relax with. Vendors will be selling food, including Italian ice, frozen lemonade and more to cool you off. You may bring Frisbees, balls and other fun, but no glass, alcohol, personal fireworks, sparklers or pets.
The evening will conclude with fireworks over picturesque Fountain Lake, starting at 9 p.m.!
1. Fourth of July Freedom Fest begins June 29 and runs through July 4 at Fairmont Scottsdale Princess, with all sorts of activities to look forward to. If fireworks is what you seek, you can enjoy them every night of the festival if you’d like! There will be six nights of fireworks lighting up the sky. There will also be a movie shown each night at Sunset Beach.
Live music will take place three nights in a row, July 2-4. A military parachutist will jump from the All Veterans Parachute Team during the music! On July 4, more than 28 military aircraft will fly over the resort, piloted by retired veterans, during the Saluting Heroes & Vintage Air Show.
2. A 4th of July Celebration will also take place at Scottsdale’s WestWorld on July 4. From 4 to 9:30 p.m., you can enjoy cool, indoor fun for the whole family. This will include a Kids Zone, electric animal rides, a stunt dog show, Jurassic 4th Dinosaur Encounter, a bull riding rodeo, pony rides and petting zoo, food and drinks, fireworks at 9 p.m. and more.
Of course, many people in the Greater Scottsdale area just stick around their homes and enjoy a pool party or backyard barbecue with family and friends. If you can catch a fireworks show from your own patio, even better! But you’ve got plenty of options for community fun if you choose to head out that day.
