If you’ve become a couch potato this winter in Fountains Hills, allow me to offer you some suggestions on events and activities happening in the area! As your Fountain Hills real estate agent, I’m a huge advocate of filling the Fountain Hills community in on what’s happening around town. It’s a great way to get out, meet others and enjoy all that the community has to offer.
Here’s a list of events to keep you busy in the coming months:
NATIVE: Festival of Tribal and AZ Art & Entertainers is running through Jan. 28 at Avenue of the Fountains Plaza. This multicultural event features Native American tribal artists, local Arizona artists, entertainers and wild-champion hoop-dancing performances! Admission is free, so head out and enjoy all of the arts and entertainment this weekend.
Concours in the Hills is an event where car lovers unite! This takes place at Fountain Park on Feb. 10. Last year, the event featured 650 high-performance, exotic and collector cars! It’s free to go and admire the cars, and registration is open if you’d like to enter your car in the show. This event raises money for charity and this year’s charity partner is Phoenix Children’s Hospital.
Fearless Kitty Rescue 3K Race/Walk is a great way to get some exercise and help save the lives of adorable cats and kittens! This takes place at Avenue of the Fountains on March 4, with race time 7:30 a.m. Medals and t-shirts will be handed out, there will be entertainment, and you can race or volunteer that day. Kittyville will also be open for you to stop by and swoon over the cats and/or adopt one!
Fountain O’Green Artisan Market will take place March 16-18 at Avenue of the Fountains Plaza. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, enjoy a free, family-friendly community festival. Browse and shop among 100 fine arts and craft exhibitors and local food vendors, and enjoy live music and entertainment.
Irish Fountain Fest is new this year! Wear green and celebrate everything Irish with food, fun and music. Watch the fountain transform into a green geyser at 12 and 4 p.m. on St. Patrick’s Day, then enjoy a kid’s zone, traditional Irish folk dancing performances, a Celtic rock band, food trucks, a beer garden and more. It’s free to attend and open to everyone!
As always, the Fountain Hills Farmers Market and Art on the Avenue take place weekly in Fountain Hills, so you can always find fresh food and local arts and crafts to purchase!
Enjoy the first quarter of your year in Fountain Hills with these fun upcoming events, and as always, contact me when ready to achieve your Fountain Hills real estate market goals! Winter is a great time to buy and/or sell, before the spring rush comes. If you’ve got questions, or you’d like to get started, don’t hesitate to give me a call.
